The Technical Details

The torsionally soft highly flexible couplings provide optimum isolation from torsional vibration from the engine being transmitted down the drivetrain. The couplings area also support significant movement of the flexibly mounted engine during start up / shut down and vehicle movements. The result is a quiet running driveline with superior reliability and low wear.

Terex Trucks Factory-Approved couplings have been specifically engineered and machined to fit directly to the engine flywheel of your Terex Truck. The rubber element is manufactured from temperature resistant rubber vulcanised between two high strength steel flanges and compressed to give greater strength and reliability. The flanges are produced from spheroidal graphite castings, enabling the coupling to cope with significant high rotational speeds. Additionally, the rubber element is compressed in an axial direction and this flexibility facilitates the required movement to overcome drive misalignment.
