Motherwell wins Marketing Award at the CeeD Industry Awards 2019

CEED Marketing award 2019

Our Motherwell team attended the first ever CeeD (The Centre for Engineering Education and Development) Awards on the 28th of February at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel. We were shortlisted for three different awards and won the Marketing Award, sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

The award comes after successfully executing a large product launch marketing campaign in April 2018. Our campaign showcased the talent of our dedicated and experienced people and the stringent processes we have in place to deliver quality machines that meet the needs of our customers.

Although it is known as the marketing award, everyone in our business supported the department. It was a team effort and the work from everyone at our Scottish site pulled off.

On winning the award, Jacqueline Reid, Marketing and Communications Director said:

“We are absolutely thrilled, the competition was fierce and we know the feedback on our event was super positive but to win an award is just the icing on the cake for us”.

As it was the first year for the CeeD Awards, the organisers aimed to have 150 people attend the event. However, on the night it was almost 600. Reid commented: “That is a huge testament to the importance of the network to Scottish Engineering and manufacturing businesses”.

Moving forward, our marketing team have big plans for 2019 and have just employed a new Marketing and Communications intern, Simone Kelly, within the department.

Reid stated: “We want to continue doing what we do best and that is putting on the best events in the industry. Our marketing focus is on educating and supporting our global customer and supplier base through focused, polished and successful digital and traditional marketing channels.  It is going to be a great journey in 2019”.
